Workflow Services

This talk will focus on the what, why and how of workflow services. We will discuss the runtime architecture of workflows, persistence, tracking, on-premise hosting in IIS and Windows Server AppFabric and how you can leverage these out-of-the-box features to build scalable, reliable services which support long-running human-based processes with ease.
About the Speaker
Pete is a lead developer based in Auckland working for ADERANT, a leading ISV in the legal and professional services market. Over the last 18 months Pete has been working with .NET 4 and AppFabric as part of the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP). This work has migrated the ADERANT Expert Golden Gate product from .NET 3 to .NET 4 and includes the adoption of Workflow 4 and AppFabric. Pete has been working with Microsoft .Net since version 1.0, mainly in the UK financial industry before moving to New Zealand and joining ADERANT 4 years ago, taking particular interest in Workflow, WCF, DSL Tools and Software Factories.
